I use kixtart 3.63 on a WNT4 Server.
When I call a SHELL command (ex: SHELL '%comspec% /c "pkzip file.zip filename > nul"'
the command works fine but I get an error 577 in the security log (all events audited) that means the incorrect use of the SeTcbPrivilege.
Why does the SHELL command needs to act as part of system?

Hi moulinex and welcome to the board.

I'm not sure why it would. Perhaps something in your script before or after is causing it.

What if you run the same command manually on the system?

We have auditing on also and I have not noticed this behavior on our systems.

Is this entry in the local workstation or the server?

Hello and thank you for your quick reply,

You are right, the pkzip command called manually also generates an error. I am unforgettable not to have suspected such this old program.

Thank you again
