kix does not need to be installed to be used.

I always use it from central location... normally netlogon drive.

I see that you have rather complex way of putting those things (as example IE) which is good if you have a huge variety of systems to support.

with IE and office I've realized that the best way is to keep just a one central admin package which can be used to keep all systems up2date.
thus structure for example IE is just:
\\server\install\IE

and that's it.
