I fully agree with you. I belong to a couple of mailing lists that deal with the simulation of naval warfare and a naval-content newsgroup. Certain content always trigger responses that ultimately end up becoming too personal.
Though the 'General Discussions' forum can contain non-KiXtart-related posts, I prefer to have them somehow related to the trade we're all in. Thus, discussions about computers in general, drinking (caffeinated beverages), (KiXtart ) Golf handicaps, and so on are definitely fine with me.
