Kent,
There are differences between this UDF Library and the COM Scripting forum. I believe the general consensus with the UDF library was that it be just that, a library. By requesting a new thread start with UDF code, and keeping the final revision there, makes it easier for others. While I don't believe there's any harm in the discussion rambling on with replies, if it results in more code or a spin-off UDF, it should spin-off to a new thread so others need not agonize over all the replies wondering what they may miss. At the end of the day, users have the option to review their replies, and if they feel they no longer have value, can delete them.

The COM Scripting forum however is much more open. Threads may start with questions and require no code. We only ask that it be related to COM and KiX.
