How about including Lonkero's SendMail UDF in this FAQ topic - doesn't it use basic telnet access to the SMTP server to provide mail capability? Since a telnet client is usually available on all platforms without any additional bits'n'pieces required it is a useful addition.

Of course, it assumes that the author of a script has knowledge of, and access to, their local SMTP server... there's always something...[sigh!] [Wink]

Good summary of a useful subject, though - the FAQs get better and better! Keep up the good work!
