Les Les KiX Master Registered: 2001-06-11 Posts: 12734 Loc: fortfrances.on.ca	As we often make reference to the FAQ forum, to reduce confusion with newbies, I propose the faq link at the top of the page be renamed. Existing: my profile \| register \| search \| faq \| forum home Contact Us \| KiXtart scripts I propose the it be renamed to UBBfaq to differentiate it from the FAQ forum. I have also considered alternately renaming the forum but that would affect too many existing threads and cause far more confusion. I also propose the KiXtart scripts link be renamed to KiXtart.org home since that is really where it take you. This would reduce confusion with the scripts forum. Proposed: my profile \| register \| search \| UBBfaq \| forum home Contact Us \| KiXtart.org home If anyone has an alternate suggestion then let's hear it. I will then ask Jack to poll the members on the submitted suggestions. [ 10. There's a lot of good info under that link and I can't think of another place to put the link. Maybe we could add a link to the FAQ Forum at the top of the UBBfaq page. Kinda the way Google does: Did you mean: KiX Scripting FAQ Forum As for the two links at the bottom both going to the same place... I'm OK with that. Sorry, but I have been busy at home (those leaves you know) & office lately & I haven't visited the board much during the last week. As to your question, it looks like many of the regulars have responded & there is a consensus. What options would we vote on? Everyone seems in agreement. I recommend not holding a vote. Let’s just do it as you suggested in your opening post. My only concern is has everyone seen this. Maybe we should send the other top 25 members who haven't responded on the thread a message asking them to check the topic & respond if they wish. (Alternatively we could put a post in the general, starters, com & scripts forums asking all members to look at this topic & comment.) Do you want me to do this? PS: Your idea sounds good to me. After a bit of sober second thought, this is what I propose. Keep the name of the faq link at the top of the page as is. Add a link to the FAQ Forum at the top of the UBB faq page. Really though, it started out as Kent's idea to revitalize the FAQ so it is more his than mine. I'm just the bigmouth. As for renaming, if it's OK with Kent, it's OK with me except would prefer FAQ and How2 I propose the faq link stay linked to the UBB faq page with the addition of a link to the FAQ forum. _________________________ Give a man a fish and he will be back for more. It makes you feel embarrassed when you ask something kind of silly and the answer sounds like a frogg from another hole, specially cause the question you are asking is about Kixstart (wich you dont know) and not about the board (less). I simply suggest to have the obligatory FAQ reading in order to subscribe. You are all very polite and gentle with new people. Thanks _________________________ Life is fine.
