I'll scan later today (once I get home) again.
the reason I loosed up the rules was that 90% of the udf's that did not have () was yours or jens'!

anyway, I can say that it was worth doing as now it seems little easier to find something.

like dublicates.
or the few udf's that have nothing actually to do with udf or do not have any kind of structure.

once I get the scanner work ok, I'll start working more on it's dynamic update.

I still can't write the script for unix like platform (like linux) but if could get w2k server kicking at my home with nat and firewall, I'll start testing the scriptable sftp.

it's actually weird that after silent day, you are the one to pop up...

well, see that shawn is alive...
patrick is not as he has just checker running.

so can say that this is good start for silent.
gladly my train is leaving in 14 hours and will miss all the fun about silence this weekend.

has anyone said that you have wonderfull signature...
so, no crashes yet?
as far as I know, something trickers the crash at some point...
will be waiting for it.
I'll leave my checker running and if it passes the test of running 11 days without crash, it is good for me.

horse? is she about 9y old? as that is the age when you expect something like that... wanted own pony? or have you already bought one?

btw, seems that even patrick is doing something on the board...
02:00 must be late night check before going to bed.

Version 1.5 has been running for 4 hours. So far so good. And it will run ALL weekend, if possible.

She is eight and loves animals. She want me to buy a horse but I don't see that happening.

btw, just preraring for some sleep after a week of no-sleep period...
I've understood that you are our voodoo man what comes to perl.
so, if I give you a web-related kixscript, can you translate it?
been thinking of the udf-collector. all the servers I know (instead of kixtart.org itself) use linux platform and thus running xmlhttp on them is big no-no.
but to get it self updating it would be easiest to get it work on server side. that way there is no need to code the sftp connection...

so, is that doable or am I just dreaming?

Not sure. I guess it could be tried, but I am still building my Perl skills. Maybe I'll learn something new. [Big Grin]

well, I could write it with tcl but I don't know how to get the data from another machine with it and haven't coded with tcl for so long time ago.
the parsing is not hard, just the download/copy

Translating shouldn't be hard. I hope.

well, I just PM'ed the kix code for the collection to you.

if you don't have time for it, some tips on how to get the info from other server would be nice.

huh, as this man could sleep!
bloody he... mary!
I even thought I can spend nice vacation but it seems that my mind is filled by the cause.

that ofcourse means that speartime is lost in some coding... which may lead to nothing.

anyway, it's good to know that I'm good KiXter even if I should become unemployeed someday...

so, lets keep kiXing and keep the world spinning around.

Lonkero, you mentioned server side execution of the udf-collector. How would you get people to run your code? Wouldn't it be better to build a generic HTTP client to crawl sites for code? In this case just like your current code you could configure and execute from your site.

Ah yes... a silent weekend it is starting out to be.

The BB Home shows:
KiXtart scripts Recent Visitors: 65
MightyR1, NTDOC, kdyer, LLigetfa, Lonkero, Howard Bullock, and 59 guest(s)

I know that these guys are asleep at the wheel, while their BBChecker faithfully keeps them active but the number of guests??? I have difficulty accepting the nuber reported of late. I really have to wonder if the BBCheckers aren't skewing this number. Just 'cause it's midnight here (CST), I know it's not midnight everywhere but yet, 59 guests???

Does that mean BBChecker is a monster? I think my buddy asked Jooel about bandwidth with it. Shouldn't be too bad even though it queries the server every 20-30 seconds or so.
