Well actually Im here ..
Stayed up late list night ;-d, now Im back.
Problem is that Im running SMS (Systems Management Server) in my workplace. And ofcourse the wonderful kixscript..
So Now that m$ told me to modify my logonscript accordning to their plan.. I was thinking of putting the SMSclients on ONLY the NT/2K/XP Klients and servers..
We do also run some other systems, but the primary concern here is NT/2K/XP.
So the logon script contains this smsls.bat ..
But the last time sms killed of some older win98 machines which I dont tend to repeat. So my main concern is still to check what OS its run. The other stuff is just bonus ;-d
if @ProductType = "Windows NT Workstation"|"Windows NT Server"|"Windows NT Domain Controller"|"Windows 2000 Professional"|"Windows 2000 Server"|"Windows 2000 Domain Controller"|"Windows XP Professional"
(Is that line correct ?)
then smsls.bat
else
