I was actually once editing a final release of a login script despite the fact that I intended to edit the login script that was in a designated beta folder. However, my login account was set to run the beta script out of that beta folder And I was wondering why whatever I was doing didn't have any effect. I think the longest I've ever spent debugging a script was about 4-5 hours. Turns out a file I was reading from looked like a .txt smelled like a .txt but was full of jiberish notepad didnt show. The first week I started messing around with kixtart I spent a good 80-100 hours fumbling around with it. That was one long headache.

I've also had cases of something in the white space that comes across in a copy/paste.
