btw, it would go under 3s if you would have proper tabs in your code instead of spaces.

also some size stats:
previous (build 6) engine -> 111k
current engine -> 94k

so, if we would have proper tabs in the code, should drop pretty much down...
it would be no wonder to get to something like 40-50k

morning Jooel,

ummm ... I have spaces in my Code because of a setting in UltraEdit that converts Tabs to x Spaces while typing (4 in my Case)

Hmmm ... if there was no change in spacing conversion (which originally since the beginning untill 1.0.1 converting the same) it should be no problem if one indents with Tabs or Spaces [Wink]

Hmmm... will get online for bashing/discussion/whatever in a few moments .. If workload allows [Big Grin]

J.

Except these disharmonies yesterday it now looks good [Frown] [Embarrassed] [Roll Eyes]

sure, there is no problems. how could? [Razz]

anyway, as with spaced code, the runtime rises high...
and so does html-filesize.

Here maybe :

;end of Documents Array creation

global $Words[ubound($Documents)]

$wd = createobject("word.application")
if @error = 0
    for $i = 0 to ubound($Documents)
        $ = $wd.Documents.Open($Documents[$i])
        $Words[$i] = $wd.ActiveDocument.Words.Count
        $ = $wd.Documents.Close($Documents[$i])
    next
    $bye = $wd.quit
else
    'unable to create Word object : ' + @error + ' - ' + @serror
    get $k exit
endif

for $i = 0 to ubound($Documents)
    $Documents[$i] ?
    " contains " + $Words[$i] + " Words" ? ?
next

get $

Converting the original hearts script (KiXbgi, 2666 lines, with fries) with Wordwrap on : 16+ secs ; Without Wordwrap : 5+ secs [Eek!]

k, looked at the previous test topic.
old engine converted it in 7s...

ofcourse there was no wordwrap in that code nor html-code fixes...

that should make approx 3-5s...

still, the difference/slow up is too much.
