I've been reading all over and just can't seem to get this right. Can someone help me with the correct syntax for using WMI to stop a service? I know I need to use WMI_Service and the StopService Method, but that's about as far as I can get. Thank A LOT

Before reinventing the wheel, you might want to take a look at the UDF Forum as there are a couple of UDFs that stop a service.

See for example WMIService() , though there are a total of 8 UDFs dealing with this. Search for 'service' in UDF Fourm subject lines only.
