Thanks, both of your suggetions are really good pointers. Makes alot more sense as I can actually see examples and know how they relate. As far as me being a newbie, I'm a newbie to Kix in general, but I "played" with 'BASIC' and Turbo Pascal as a kid so I have some idea of the langauge structure, they are very similar in nature, I think. And in learning Kix, its really just a matter of getting the 'jist' of the syntax. I've always learned by doing and seeing, never by reading so thats why I've been having difficulty with generating my script. The posts usually have snipplets of what I'm looking for so I can't relate to all the info. But thanx to all that have helped... And I'll still be cracking at this so don't be surprised if you see another anoying post from a newbie
