could you do some testing for me? un-register the kixforms.dll and re-register it. check also it's fileversion on your system32.
I have bad feeling that there is something going on with old kixforms version.

next time, when it happens just re-press the misc button on mainform. you may need to minimize&restore it even 2 times but at some point the misc-form starts to respond.
have no clue what has caused that but quess the doevents(1) has something to do with it.
