I wouldn't say it’s necessarily easier, the methodology is the same. It seems as though there may be additional functionality. In either case there's a lot of value and potential here. We're stuck however when it comes to network access through the remote box, which consequentially makes remote access through WMI very limited in scope; granted this a feature that PSEXEC.EXE and similar programs have.

Also, I haven't touched Win32_ProcessStartup b/c I thought it was only available to XP clients?
