gibilix gibilix Fresh Scripter Registered: 2001-05-04 Posts: 15 Loc: Rome, Italy	Hi all, I need to enable the Wake Up on LAN setting in client's BIOS. I use to do it through an agent from Dell that is very heavy to install. I wonder if there any way to modify SMBIOS settings through WMI or whatever, even a custom C or ASM routine, to avoid this annoying and problems generating installation of Dell agent... You cannot do this through the OS, no matter if you are in Windows, LINUX, OS/2, whatever. Maybe Compaq or DELL or your computer vendor has such a utility. gibilix gibilix Fresh Scripter Registered: 2001-05-04 Posts: 15 Loc: Rome, Italy	Thanks for your info, anyway i have read somewhere that is possible to write BIOS settings as through the use of a couple of I/O ports (h70 and h71). Maybe NT systems blocks the access to the memory, but 98 and 95 should not... I am interested most on these OS, because we have almost finished to deploy Dell software on W2K. The problewm is that I have found all about basic CMOS settings, but WOL is an extended setting and maybe is vendor specific. Dell doesn't have such technical documentation on it's site.
