I have a Terminal Server on a Compaq server with many Network Card group in a team (Hardware Network Load Balacing).

When I start only kix32.exe, kix32 make a warning Event ID 35 with the following message:

Impossible de trouver la description de l'ID d'événement ( 35 ) dans la source ( KIXTART ). L'ordinateur local n'a peut-être pas les informations de Registre nécessaires ou les fichiers DLL de messagerie pour afficher les messages provenant d'un ordinateur distant Failed to find a NetBIOS interface. The @ADDRESS macro will be empty. Error : (0x23/35).

Every user login on the same server (because Terminal Server) the event ID 35 is created by Kixtart but Kix is fully operationnal.

Can you make a modification in a 4.x version to limit this NT event because I think the Compaq Teaming on the network is a special implementation.

Can you give me news about the feature ?

Best regards, Jean-Marie PETRY

This message is actually generated whenever there are teaming NiCs and is not localized to just your Compaq (HP) setup.

None the less, it would be nice to be able to suppress event log errors. This is not the first such suggestion.

It would be nice if we could choose the specific event IDs to be suppressed. This way, we can diable event logging for only those events where we know that they are harmless. Sometimes the Event Id might be useful for debugging purposes.

I would love this feature too, maybe like a /s switch for silent running kinda thingy. Maybe if we asked member #3 again, nicely, it may happen ... [Wink]

ok, i'll quit with the "3" thing.

voting for this too.
can't see what is the difficulty in implementing this and as one would think, it will not increase the code size so much.

better still would be if some errors were disabled in build, like the no user info (1312)when runned as system in schedule...

Thanks for the input, point taken.

The final build of 4.10 no longers logs the @ADDRESS error, and has also been enhanced to handle the situation where KiXtart is running in the LocalSystem context.

Cheers,

Ruud

Dear,
Thanks to Ruud and jmpetry. Last one suggests it.
Simple for new build. Possible final release of Kixtart 4.10.
greetings.
