We will extend your request with the search order of it.
For kixtart 3.63 it will now search first for .scr and secondly for .kix. Modifying it isn't an issue anymore.

For kixtart 4.x we will a search order like
.k2k, .kix and .scr

Just include the extension of the script file when you call it. Pardon my ignorance, but if you do that, why would the extension even matter?

It is the first time old scripts are upwards compatible. Specially
by removing the OLExxx functions.
For us it will not a problem that the next release got also the
.k2k extension when Ruud creates a upwards compatible
version.
