As you can see, the script should say hello then exit. What it does is create a 0 byte file called file.tmp in C:\. I did a few little tests and it appears that KiX runs 1 more command after QUIT, but only certain commands.
I believe it is related to how KiX reads the optional part of the QUIT command. If you do QUIT 1 or QUIT QUIT (which I have been doing since 3.63 but never stopped to find out why) it works.
I believe that the QUIT command is using the output of the OPEN command as it's input. While this is normal/good, it is a pain in the ass when you insert a QUIT in code to quit when testing stuff.
