The admin quest is progressing

If we use RUNAS or SU on a shared dir, we got the same CreateProcessasuser error

if we put the file on a local dir and launch it from the local dir, it works !

if we put the files (kix and exe) on a local dir and launch it from a shared dir (just the bat in it), error !

It seems that's "JUST" a XP PRO problem.

Tested with an W2000 server and also a unix server

Perhaps we'll have to wait another SP ?

We don"t know what to do

The only additional information that I've found suggests that there may be a problem when using "su" where mapped/connected drives are no longer available in the context of the "su"'d environment.

Perhaps if you "cd" to a local (hard) drive before running the SU?

YES ! THE SOLUTION !

So simple, so easy

To use SU from a shared drive / Network drive on a XP Pro, you MUST be localised on a local drive before executing it

I'll mix my code on monday (It's a long and complex script) and i'll post it here

Why again want to run su from netlogon?

In my example the su.exe is embedded in the KiXCrypt file and this su.exe is used...

After execution, this su.exe is deleted!!!

yes i know

First step :

Making su working properly on our XP PRO network even scripted directly inside our kix. We were just interested on correcting the error

Second step now :

Using Kixcrypt to hide the login and the password with the procedure described by Richard H.(Kixcrypt creator) in another topic of this board (search crypted external file)
