Hallo,

We have here a Cluster Node (2x Windows 2000 Server) who share a Shared Disk storage. On one cluster we host the File en Printer sharing, on the other we use services like DHCP, WINS, DNS
The Server are also user for login purposes.
We have a mixed client network with Windows 95,98, NT, ME, 2000. On different OS, different times and different machines the loginscript wont run. We cant figure it out what is the problem.

This is the batch file we use for al users:
logonnl.bat

@ECHO OFF
IF EXIST c:\kix\13.txt goto start

:a
Echo ########################################################
echo Installeren Kix32 Script Engine 4.11
Echo ########################################################
mkdir c:\kix
copy %0\..\kx16.dll c:\kix
copy %0\..\kx32.dll c:\kix
copy %0\..\kix32.exe c:\kix
copy %0\..\wkix32.exe c:\kix
copy %0\..\13.txt c:\kix
del c:\kix\kx95.dll
goto start

:start
c:\kix\kix32.exe %0\..\logonnl.kix /f
-EOF-

We hope someone know a solution.

Thanks in advance

heh, with me it shouldn't run anyways...

I don't know, you are copying the dll's to all systems and they are bad for NT/w2k

also, why you are deleting one?
and you don't need:
goto start
after the del.

then, you could check on the faq to see complex logon-bats...

anyway, I see no reason in this batch file why it does not run, so I'd search the reason elsewhere.

Why are those Dll's bad for w2k? We have a mixed network of clients. What you should do?

they should at least slow down login...
those are only needed with win9x.

more on this in:

manual also states something...

Are the scripts replicated? The scripts must be availabe on all servers that do logon authentication.

I also do not understand how you're cluster is set up. Wouldn't both machines do all tasks with the seconds one failing over if the first one becomes unavailable?
