i am trying to use SHELL to map my 95 users home directories and hide in network neighborhood...am unclear what %comspec% /c and subst do in examples...i am trying:

$userid=@userid + "$$" ;create hidden share for home directories
Use U: "\\corp\users" + $userid ;map u: to hidden share
SHELL "subst z: u:\corp\users\@userid" ;use z: to map users right to their home directory

i have not been able to resolve this issue despite many attempts at following the postings on this topic...suggestions greatfully accepted!
