hi everyone, sorry about that, I copied the wrong script in. it should have been:

NTDoc - thanks for the links but those all have to do with Group Policy redirection, which is working great -- my problem is with the Favorites folder which unfortunately is not covered under GP redirection :-(
Brian - I am using the Folder Redirection tab. I have the Favorites redirect set up just below the Cache redirect (Which is working just fine). Not sure why the Favorites redirect zeroed out the reg value like that... I will check the Scriptlogic site.
another thing I noticed is that originally I had the location set up using the @Staff folder off of our main file server share (I use the @ so that the Staff folder shows up first alphabetically for employees). anyways, when using that locatio with the Kix script, it writes the @ symbol to the register as
