ok, I'm a little confused by my results here:

I'm testing this on myself, and I am a domain and enterprise admin.

I have created a login batch file for myself (wes.bat) which consists of the following:

kix32 admin

I also have an admin.kix file that has the following:

writevalue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main","Start Page","http://taubaunt01/","REG_SZ")

The registry write is successful, I check it in regedit and it has written it correctly. However, my Favorites are still mapped to the local documents and settings folder. any idea why the reg change doesn't affect the setting?

Also, will simple folder redirects like this autocreate a specified folder if it does not already exist, just like the GPO redirects do?
