I'm actually very glad you replied -- I am currently using SCriptlogic to redirect Cache, but when I tried to also apply redirection for Favorites, it killed the favorites reg entry altogether! just cleared it out. it was a real pain to get it back for the one user I tested it with, luckily no one else logged in before I took it out of the SL config.

any idea why this would be? I was redirecting it to to a network share, the same way I do it with all the other folders in Group Policy and Scriptlogic.
