I second the suggestions of using UNC when possible and to maybe tiddy up a bit. DFS is good also (especially if you want to access resources from different server all through one drive mapping).I had a similar problem and ended up making a Common$ share and mapping everyone to that and just setting NTFS perms on the specific directories. that helped a lot, but when split to two locations, using DFS helped with accessing distributed resources.
