>>There are several Differences. One is the ease of use. Visual KIX was designed to be able to be used by a Beginner Network Admin but still offer options that Someone who had been doing it for a while would enjoy and get good use out of. Second is the Price. The final price has not been decided on but it will not go over $350.00 and our product comes with 20 client access licenses. After that we also have a very low price of $5.00 per CAL. This was the second reason Visual KIX was created. I could not get approval to spend over a thousand dollars for a logon program for the Company I worked for. There were several people envolved with the creation of this product and we believe we have a better product at a better price and we are only on version 1.0. I cannot speak much about VAI because I have not used there product and I could not find the Price on their Website. >>The Clients show no impact upon installation. The only impact they would have is when adding there MAC Address to the licensing area. To do this we use the command nbtstat. This is very minimal impact and only lasts a second. There is no other information held in the program pertaining to Client Computers.
and servers during an installation?
>>>Servers Impact is minimal as well. Of Course it takes some impact upon install but the program does not need that much memory to servive and since the script is ran from the NETLOGON directory Visual KIX (VK) does not have to be running all the time on the server, just when creating the script. As a matter of fact the installation does not even have to be done on a server but can be done on any computer and then replicated to the NETLOGON share of the Primary DC. But VK does need to be registered on a computer that will continue to be used in creating scripts. If you change Computers or the Network Card Goes out you must contact our company to get a new Serial Number because it is controlled from the MAC Address.

In upcoming Versions it will be a possibility. But I believe everything KIXTART will do we can do.

>>>>>As mentioned previously The inability to add KIXTART Scripts. On the other hand users can add registry settings. 
The ability to add these scripts will be available in future Releases.
