It's a tough call. A lot of postings could start as non-Kix and someone may come up with an elegant Kix solution. Then, on the other hand, there are a lot of postings where they're looking for a Kix solution but often the best solution is non-Kix. Perhaps splitting up the board into the following:

STARTERS
LOGON SCRIPTS
ADMIN SCRIPTS
INFORMATIVE

Then again, simply stating 'OFF-TOPIC' or 'NON-KIX' in the header or first line works for me too. Also, speaking about topic creep, maybe some ground rules on topic 'creep' are in order. How far permissible to go off topic in a thread before a new thread should be started (i.e. this post)?
