Peter,
The link in my prior post http://kixtart.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=001946 makes reference to a reskit util called WAITFOR.EXE that is used to push SU to the client. My thought is that if you don't want to run SU on the client, you could still achieve your objective to delete the temp files using this util.Basically, you would run an admin script on the server in and endless loop. It would wait for a trigger from the client just as in the SU install example but rather would simply do the XCACLS/deltree over the C$ share of the client. All the client needs do is send the waitfor trigger as in the SU installer example.
Mind you, this is all theory. I haven't tested either this concept or the SU installer mentioned. I'm a reluctant (not a real) programmer. I only code where the effort to code is less than the effort without the code (hence my signature). If you're only talking a few machines and you have easy access to them, you could just sneaker to them to install SU. Given that you lock the HDs in the safe at night, can you live with the risk of SU?
