If you are using the new version of Kixtart make sure the new KXRPC.EXE is installed on all NT Servers that are connected to the domain and part of dirsync. This might explain the blank result in @RSERVER, because the server it is requesting the information from has not got KXRPC installed or it is the wrong version.

I have not heard of any problems with Winsock2 or Y2000 patch from Microsoft. I have about 300 pc's running these patches with out any problems.

Local Groups problem that you have, has been listed as a problem with Kixtart. If you can avoid local groups. You will get strange results.
