We are trying to get kixtart to map different drives from our server. I don't know anything about kixtart. I tried putting the files under win 95 and adding the line c:\windows\system\kix32.exe to the autoexec.bat file but it does not execute. We have just a simple script to try to map one drive on the server which we have had no luck at. My boss says he has had it to work sometimes but the next time you boot the computer it my not work. If anyone has any suggestions and a simple sample script to map different drives please help.

I think that with booting he means close programs and logon as different user.

With KiXtart it works better to load start the script from the a batch called by the usermanager's Logonscript. This can be a batchfile which calls the c:\windows\system\kix32.exe

The script must be on the \\NETLOGON share and ending with .kix or .scr

Be Sure to have the 3 files Kix32.exe, KX16.dll and KX32.dll in the windows\system directory. ( This is the way I do it ).

It is also possible to do it like the others.
For this possibility you just have to look at earlier asked questions on this Forum. I think that if you took the time to read the manual or just select Show topics from last year when opening the Forum you will find all the possibilities and answers to your questions. I know I have.
