Dear,

I found same editor which can edit not only Kixtart scripts but also a lot of other scripts
and languages. It has a lot of capabilities which most editors doesn't have.

Here a little description of it's features.

http://www.sapien.com/primalscript.htm

PrimalSCRIPT 2.0 The Windows Scripting Host Editor PrimalSCRIPT for Windows is a
powerful scripting editor that handles all of your daily script editing needs on both your local
Windows based system AND remote NT or UNIX servers. Files are edited in-place without the
need to stop and transfer files back and forth between systems. As a result, ALL of your scripting
is handled by ONE easy to use graphical Windows based editor.

Requires Windows 98, Windows NT 4 (SP4) or Windows 2000.

ok,
to keep this burning, here comes my opinion:
why pay $$149 if you can get it FOR /f $free

so if anybody writes a KixEditor as 'CareWare' i am willing to use it , if it isn't that buggy .... or i use on my absolutely free notepad.exe....

Jochen:

Right on my brother - that would be nice, wouldn't it ?

A KiX editor just for us KiXters.

With the same functionality as Notepad but with some minor enhancements.

1) Context sensitive language (templates) that will auto-prompt for command/function parameters ( like in visual studio ).

2) An upload/download to BBS feature that actually works !

I know alot of those "other" packages already have this - but what the hell !

CJ:

What a great excuse to crack open that Turbo Pascal compiler of yours !

Shawn.

The primalscript editor is - to my humble opinion - not userfriendly, expensive and sluggish to use. Freeware and close-to-freeware still rules.

visual kixtart editor from versionzero software is nice but lacks decent text rendering (you loose the last letter of each word for some stupid reason)

But it's great to work faster. cheap too ...

Isn't there a script guru out there that wants to spend his time in creating a Kixtart editor in Kixtart? It is possible. Wouldn't even be that hard...

If you give me a fews weeks or so (i am very busy), I'll write a VB text editor for KIX, with syntax highlighting.

If anyone has any suggestions for what else they want let me know, and i'll try to accomodate.!
