I have problems when I use a KiXtart (16 bit) script like:

GETS $SCAN_PN
SHELL "SETW.EXE -D OUTPUT=$SCAN_PN"

If the string does not contain spaces it works and if the string does have spaces SETW doesn't return anything!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ivan

Try enclosing $scan_pn with single quotes:

SHELL "SETW.EXE -D OUTPUT='$SCAN_PN'"

See if that helps.

Brad,

Thanks for the tip. At first it didn't work but then I reversed the quotes, ie:

SHELL 'SETW.EXE -D OUTPUT="$SCAN_PN"'

And it's perfect now!!

Thanks

Ivan
