Well, I did thank him for the reply. However, I also asked him a question about using the "*" and that removing all other drive mappings. I tested it and using

 use "*" /delete /persistent
did indeed remove the remaining drive mappings from the Novell login script as well as the H:\ that was a part of the user profile. I remembered reading about that in the Manual! I do know about 'RTFM' - which seems to be the mantra in this particular BB.

So, I simply added the switch "/persistent" to my original script and all is fine and dandy.
