To convert the default user directory to a real share you must get on the server & then take ownership of the user directory. Then allow the user file level access privledges, then create a share for this specific directory & then give the user share level access. As mention above a good share name is "userid$". Please note that if you do this you will break the procedure that automaps user directories on logon.
