I am launching main bat file as login script that determines if it 9x or not and launches main kix script using start command if it is, and without start command if it is not.

Should every script that is called from the main kix script (which was launched with start) also be called using start command? They are being called using $logonserver\netlogon\wkix32.exe $logonserver\netlogon\script.kix format.

The reason I ask is that I am getting some different page fault errors when logging in on Win98 machine.

nope, just remember to use the correct switches descriped in manual and get ríd of the win9x machines ASAP.
calling script is same as writing to same during runtime.

calling another script thus does not involve any executable and specially not shell nor run nor start nor cmd nor bat files nor...

See http://www.kixtart.org/board/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=003344 for batch files supporting Windows 9x. In my experience START is not required.

When calling WKIX32.EXE, Start /Wait is required. I wonder though why additional scripts call WKIX32.EXE again and why you don't simply call them using the KiX CALL command.

I also wonder why you use WKIX32.EXE on Wintendos, since the Start /Wait pretty much makes it behave just like KIX32.EXE as the BATch file will spawn the DOS box (console) anyway.

I also wonder why ppl continue to support Wintendos. I am happy to say that I am Wintendo free! [Big Grin]

I wish I could say that but I cant...
The reason I use Run to call other scripts instead of Call is so that the primary login script goes away faster and the second scripts can run in the background, mapping printers/drives. If I use call...Then the script stays minimized at the bottom until the second script finishes right?

Thats a good point with the wkix32.exe vs kix.exe. Will try using it to call first script and see if it makes a difference.
