What OS are you using ?
try this.....
In the following dir on all your clients you should have a file called Hosts in the below location :
\\$Pcname\%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
In there you can give another name to your web address. I would try that approach....
You would need to make sure that entry is there everytime mind....
