Jens brings up a great point - if you try to surgically remove a program in this manner you will most likely have left-overs, background processes left, etc. Again, you will be better served by using the uninstall routine provided by Symantec. Further to the uninstall of the program, you should also be able to perform this silently.. For example, there are a number switches available for the MSIEXEC (MSI) installer as well as the InstallSheild, and WISE Instlllers too.
