Hi Everyone

I am trying to setup a script that will login me directly into my Web base Mail without prompting for my username and password.

The Web Based Mail application is based on iPlanet.

I have looked at a previous script done by Richard_H, where this script inputs the Members number into the members field under KiXtart search page.

Richard H - KiXtart Search Page

Hos did RichardH find out that the search box for KiXtart was '$oForm.search_user.value="494"'

How can I find out what the field name is of the login and password box ???.

Thanks

Richard, every html page will be different. Richard H. built his script around the parculularities of the korg search page, you may have an easier time of it. Best thing to do is simply go to your page, then "view source" and the input box fields names should be there.

code:
								<td colspan='2'>
<input tabindex='1' type='text' name='username'>
</td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td align='right'>
Password
</td>

<td>
<input tabindex='2' type='password' name='j_password'>
</td>

thus, your fields are:
username
j_password

Think it will look something like this, replave the navigate string with the actual URL that your going to...

code:
break on

$ie = createobject("internetexplorer.application")

$ie.visible = 1

$ie.navigate("f:\nhs.htm")

while $ie.busy and $ie.readystate <> 4 loop

$ie.document.forms(0).username.value = "shawn"

$ie.document.forms(0).j_password.value = "password"

$ie.document.forms(0).submit.click()

exit 1

Just mucking around with different properties within IE and this could be of some use to someone.

This sort of maximizes the screen.

Break On
Call 'D:\Kix\Functions\WMIQuery().kix'

$oIE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")
$oIE.Visible=0
$oIE.Navigate("http://www.myleague.com/wwpl")
; Wait for page to stop loading...
$oIE.Left = 0
$oIE.Top = 0
$oIE.Width = WMIQuery("HorizontalResolution","Win32_VideoConfiguration")[0]
$VerticalRes = WMIQuery('VerticalResolution','Win32_VideoConfiguration')[0]
$oIE.Height = Val($VerticalRes) - 27
Do
Until $oIE.StatusText = "Done"
$oIE.Visible=1
SetFocus("MyLeague.com*")
$oIE = 0

the setfocus is not needed.
as it's the latest shown thing, it will also get the focus.

the only reason I put it in there was due to the KiX console.

yes?
I know you use kix32 (already the break on tells that) but the console is opened way before the IE window.
are you saying that it won't get focus on itself?
