Hello everyone!

I'm new to scripting and was wondering where I can get a list that tells me what commands/variables are available to me such as...

$ConnType
$NTtype

Any info you can provide I would appreciate!

Thanks!

Those are not commands but merely variables. Their names are meaninful only to whoever assinged it and is of no significance outside the script they are used in.

Commands and Macro values can be found in the manual that is included in the KiXtart download zip file.

You can create a variable of most any name.

WOW! That was a quick reply!

Thanks for the info! I understand what you are saying! Just like in VB you create variables that only mean something to the programmer.

You might want to take a look at the first section of the KiXtart Manual, as it explain the basics of Kixtart scripting. Additionaly, the FAQ Forum should have a couple of articles that you might want to read before continuing to write a script.

This also is one of the forces of KiXtart over VB scripting.

In KiXtart all userdecared variables starts with the dollar sign, so they are always easy to spot.

In VB-script any literal is alowed as a variablename (as long as it is not a reserved name [Eek!] )

In VB-script you can get confused of whitch variables/functions are buildin and whitch are userdefined,
this is not the case with KiXtart.
