I need to get the "deep" root functionality equivilant to NetWare on a pure NT environment with the use of SUBST. Is this possible with kiXtart ?
e.g. SUBST H: \\NT1\USERS$\%USERNAME% is what we want but cannot be used because it conflicts with SMS 2.0 under certain circumstances.

According to the KiXtart documentation, this is not possible.

Actually, it does work and the manual does say this. Since your environment is purely NT, you have two choices. 1. shell out and use a subst command (I've done it and it works). 2. install the distributed file
system software on each client (I haven't
tried this. So, I can't vouch for it).

Brad
