Hellu!

I'm having a strange problem I hope someone can help me with.. My kix script runs fine and do what I have written it to do. But if I hit the "close-button" on the shell where it runs from, it suddenly close all programs and logs out the user....

any sharp-eye knows why?

Thanks

This is by design - have a look at the "Break" entry in the manual.

To stop this happening, set "Break ON" at the top of your script.

you might also invest your script.
you can easily make it to run and then at the end also quit itself.

using commands exit or quit.
also, once the execution is finished, it actually exits automatically itself.
thus, there is something in your script that keeps hanging.

Thanks!
'break on' solved the problem. But I find it pretty strange that closing the script while running makes it log off the user.

think it a while.
do you want your users be able to stop your admin scripts just like that?

that is the reason, to protect the admin-rights [Wink]

Well, at least I think it's better to be able to stop it the hard way, rather being logged off while trying [Wink]

Anyway, this isnt a dramatic login script. It's just a script copying different ini files from what choice you make and then starting another process. No biggie [Smile]

Thanks for your replies !

This is the default behavior of KiXtart, as documented in the KiXtart Manual. It will prevent users form closing the script windows while logging on. KiXtart was originally developed to be a login script processor.
