Hello!
Im experiencing problems running kix on wk2, it works fine on my win9x workstations. Also I did the following to get it installing on either 9x or 2000 but kix still dosent seem to install on my wk2 stations: code:
If @Inwin=1 Copy %0\..\kix32.exe c:\winnt Copy %0\..\kix32.dll c:\winnt Copy %0\..\kix16.dll c:\winnt Endif
If @Inwin=2 Copy %0\..\kix32.exe c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix32.dll c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix16.dll c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix95.dll c:\windows Endif
Is it something im doing? My login script usally maps drives etc and shows a GUI. Im using kix ver 4.10...
Steve.

The copying of the KiXtart binaries can not be done from within a KiXtart script. You need Kixtart to run the script? This should be done in a batch file.
Please review the Kixtart manual again. You only need Kix32.exe for NT and higher. The supporting DLLs are needed for Win9x.
Please see the Kixtart Starter's Guide for sam examples of batchfiles.

I have installed both kix32.exe and kixforms, yet the script is still crashing on the following script: code:
BREAK OFF SETCONSOLE("HIDE") CLS
If @Inwin=1 Copy %0\..\kix32.exe c:\winnt Copy %0\..\kix32.dll c:\winnt Copy %0\..\kix16.dll c:\winnt Endif
If @Inwin=2 Copy %0\..\kix32.exe c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix32.dll c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix16.dll c:\windows Copy %0\..\kix95.dll c:\windows Endif
if @inwin = "1" shell "%COMSPEC% /c Regsvr32 /s %WINDIR%\KiXFORMS.dll" else copy %0\..\kixforms.dll c:\winnt\system shell "%COMSPEC% /c %WINDIR%\System\Regsvr32 /s %WINDIR%\SYSTEM\KiXFORMS.dll" endif
break on

did you miss the part where NT or better OS's do not need ANY dll's??
Did you also miss the part where you cannot copy a file that is being used at the time.
Your error has nothing to do with the above issues, but is probably due to a mismatched quote or parenthesis.
BTW, if you are deploying kix, use 4.12 not 4.10
