Not sure what you mean with generate 'maps', I'd normally think of geographic information with regards to maps.

Anyway, NET USE will associate a drive letter on a local computer with a shared directory on a loca/remote computer. RMTSHARE (from the Windows Resource Kit) can create shares of directories that are located on local/remote computer. However, RMTSHARE requires appropriate administrative privileges.
