I am using Version 4.12. Love it.

I made a major change to use octets in my scripting.

And this is my home directory script.
If @PRODUCTTYPE="Windows NT Server" OR "Windows XP Professional"
Use P: @HOMESHR
Else
Shell "net use p: /home" ;for Windows 95\98 users
EndIf

Everything is running very well, even in Citrix except when I log into Citrix.

This is the error "the process cannot switch to the startup current dirctory cmstart.exe P:\trish (home directory). Select ok to set the current directory to W:\wtsrv (%System Directory*).

I choose ok and it works.

This doesn't happen in my older loginscript without the octets. Example of my octets.

;This Tection Correctly Breaks up and Formats an IP address
$OCT1 = Ltrim(SubStr(@IPADDRESS0, 1, 3))
$OCT2 = Ltrim(SubStr(@IPADDRESS0, 5, 3))
$OCT3 = Ltrim(SubStr(@IPADDRESS0, 9, 3))
$OCT4 = Ltrim(SubStr(@IPADDRESS0, 13, 3))
$IP = "$OCT1.$OCT2.$OCT3.$OCT4"

Select
Case $OCT3="1"
$NetworkLan=$M
Case $OCT3="3"
$NetworkLan=$W
Case $OCT3="5"
$NetworkLan=$F
Case $OCT3="7"
$NetworkLan=$M
EndSelect

Any thoughts?

Please read TCP/IP Primer, Part I - IP Addresses and use USE instead of SHELL 'net use'.

Finally it is recommended to set up hidden shares for user directories and not use the home directory assignments
code:
use p: '\\server\'+@USERID+'$$'

There are a couple of threads about this, please look them up with the KiXtart BBS Search.

It turns out the Home directory wasn't the problem. Although the new home directory scripting you gave is wonderful.

I believe the change in my login was addition of code I have commented
code:
;Use "*" /delete
Use f: /Del /persistent
Use g: /Del /persistent
Use h: /Del /persistent

My original code did not have the
code:
 use "*" /delete

Since I commented that out I don't have the issue of the "Process can not switch to the startup current directory cmstart.exe P:\trish\..."

I don't understand the reason for this, yet that was the only other real change I made. [Confused]

Thanks for the help as always!

hmmm...
if you delete all the mappings then why would you be surprised that drive P: is not accessible? [Confused]
