I think most computers these days have msvcrt.dll already so if you are not having any problems, I wouldn't worry. I would however install the KXRPC service.

I think in my case a lot of machines didn't have msvcrt.dll installed at the time so found it easiest to put it in NetLogon. Don't really think it was related to the version of KiX but more a sign of the times.
