That's is a great discussion for another time.
I have just created a share on my workstation using the security descriptor from a share on a remote server. I have tested both NT4 to W2K Pro and W2K server to W2K Pro).
If all you need to do is create shares on a new server using the security of a remote share, I can wrap this up into Win32Admin.DLL.
