Kathy, let me apologize on behalf of the members of the board for any negativism you perceive.
Since we are detached from your particular situation, we can not feel all the stress that you do. This thread has been progressing for some time and it could be interpreted by some of the posters that some of the advice is not being implemented or that you have been slow in coming up to speed with KiXtart. Not knowing that your efforts have been spread across such a large project (18 servers Novell->NT), could have fed into some of the responses.
Adding some incidental information about the lack of time you may have to completely resolve some KiXtart issues once you post could go a long way in managing our expectations when we spent our time trying offer problem solving advice.
Don't give up on us yet. ![[Smile]](images/icons/smile.gif) [ 19. October 2002, 20:45: Message edited by: Howard Bullock ]

Being Netware for the past 15 years and now being not really "forced" put Win2K the product of choice by the higher ups has put a lot of stress on us to get up to date on all the Win2K, Citrix and Exchange technology. Going from NDS to AD, etc. is a trip. Thanks for your help. At least I know that "nested shares" are not allowed. Another thing I know is that Netware is a much more reliable product and easier to work with. Oh well, job security. Thanks again..

I am not sure I agree with you regarding your Novell to NT comparison.
I left Netware long ago. Once you learn the details of how the NT family of OS's function and master the new toolset used to manage your new environment, you will be very comfortable and enjoy your job once again.
Yes, Microsoft products do have some issues, but they also do other things very well. Time will tell in your case.

I changed the script to put the mappings at the very first 4 lines that the script runs and just to \\tx-fs1\marshall and it is not mapping on my Win98 PC. Any ideas why?
use h: /delete use g: /delete use g: "\\tx-fs1-marshall" use h: "\\tx-fs1-marshall"
Users use to g and h drives we are trying not to confuse them.

use g: "\\tx-fs1-marshall" use h: "\\tx-fs1-marshall"
should it be :
use g: "\\tx-fs1\marshall" use h: "\\tx-fs1\marshall"
