Dear ...,
I am having problems with the SETDEFAULTPRINTER within Kix 4.11 (kix32 and wkix32), if I use it, it sets the default printer (if you look it up in printers and faxes) but if I open a program it says: No default printer selected...If I choose the default printer manually there is no problem, as soon as the script has run again the same problem occurs again...the script is being tested on Windows XP

bpsysadmin,
This maybe a bit belated at this point.. But, welcome to the board!
Can you post some code/syntax of what you are trying to do?
Maybe this will help shed some light too?
In the FAQ Forum..
Specifically - Default Printer
HTH,
Kent

The 20 char limit is only in NT4 I read in the article...not Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
Then again: Under Printers and Faxes you see that the right default printer is selected, but if you start a program it says: no default printer selected...then when manually changing the default printer to another printer and then back to the right printer...then it works. Only when kix does set the default printer programs are telling me: No default printer selected (even that if I check Printers and faxes I see a default printer)
