Followed all those threads, actually mailed the post originators - only to find out that their issue had been solved by 1) Making sure the users primary group is domain users (which mine are) 2) Removing the ingroup statement from their scripts.
There are some other suggestions in the posts - such as syntax and Q285903, which i have also checked, however the errors still occur.
FYI for those (if any) are actually interested in what it turned out to be in my case -
If a user machine is a member of DomainA, and the user logging on is a member of DomainB, the group "domain admins" from the users domain (domainB in this example) should be added to the local administrators group on this machine.
If anyone can explain (in reasonable detail) to me why kix requires this, please let me know.
