Sitharien Sitharien Lurker Registered: 2002-07-23 Posts: 2	Most of my inhouse PC's are still Win95/98, they run fine, but a few XP PC's refuse to run the Kixtart Executable from the batch file using "%0\..\Kix32.exe". The error says that CMD.EXE cannot execute from a UNC.

Lonkero Lonkero KiX Master Guru Registered: 2001-06-05 Posts: 22346 Loc: OK	xp does not handle %0 correctly at all. and only w9x needs it. proper way of calling is kix32 script.kix more can be found on the board... the thing about cmd.exe not runnable from netlogon is another case. the same result will be with nt and w2k. proper calling of cmd.exe is by using the %comspec%-environment-variable. cheers. _________________________ ! download KiXnet

'%0' is not interpreted the same way under Windows XP as under all other windows versions.
